The Ph.D. program was initiated at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) in 2008 adapting the UGC regulations and monitored centrally through the Ph.D. centre. The regulations governing the Ph.D. program at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) have been amended from time to time in accordance with the gazetted amendments of the UGC. At present University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2022 dated 7 th November 2022 is being implemented. The Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) calls for applications for enrolment of candidates for the Ph.D. program twice a year, July and January sessions. The candidates are selected through Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) PhD entrance exam based on their academic merit and research proposals matching with PhD supervisor’s thrust areas. Currently, the recognized PhD supervisor at YPC is, Prof. (Dr.) Asir John Samuel Additional Professor/Vice Principal. However, interdepartmental research are promoted by involving recognized supervisors from other colleges/institutes/departments of this Deemed to be University.
